Chapter 7458 (Seven Thousand Four Hundred and Fifty-Eight) Speculation
The brown-handed man laughed and said, "I think you have a point."
“What makes sense? You didn’t explain it clearly. I mentioned two issues: one is ‘too much of a good thing,’ and the other is ‘this doesn’t seem to be the case.’ Which one do you mean by ‘making sense’: ‘too much of a good thing’ or ‘it doesn’t seem to be the case’?” Grayhand asked.
"Can't I think both of them make sense?" the brown-handed man asked.
The gray-handed man laughed and said, "It should be possible."
The brown-handed man said, "So you already understand what I'm thinking?"
"I understand, but I still want to hear what you have to say," said the gray-handed man.
"Huh? Do I need to explain further?" the brown-handed man said. "Since you're willing, then I'll explain."
Just as he was about to speak, the brown-handed man hesitated again: "But why does this seem like just repeating what you said?"
The gray-handed man laughed and said, "What are you repeating?"
“What I’m about to say is just a casual repetition of what you said,” said the Brown-Handed Man.
"If all you can think of is repeating what I say, then go ahead and repeat it. If you can avoid repeating what I say, then say it in your own words," the gray-handed man laughed.
The brown-handed man laughed and said, "Alright, I'll use my own words."
"Haha! You really don't want to repeat what I said?" Grayhand asked.
“It’s not that I’m complaining, but if I just repeat myself, it’s like I’m not giving you any explanation at all,” said the Brown-Handed Man. “If you want an explanation, then I especially welcome it,” said the Gray-Handed Man.
“Perhaps in your view, what I just said about ‘the more obvious the better’ is indeed conditional. It depends on the situation. Some things are ‘the more obvious the better,’ but others are different; if you go beyond a certain point, things might develop in the opposite direction. However, in your view, this matter can also be described as ‘the more obvious the better,’ so you don’t object to what I just said about ‘the more obvious the better,’” the brown-handed man said. “I think that’s roughly what you mean.”
"About the same?" Grayhand asked.
“Yes, I can’t just say that what I said is exactly the same as what you were thinking, can I?” the brown-handed man laughed.
Gray-Handed Man said, "Are you worried that you're being too absolute?"
The brown-handed man laughed and said, "I'm not that worried."
The gray-handed man asked, "Really?"
“Think about it, I didn’t say anything too absolute. I said ‘almost,’ so what am I worried about? If I’m worried, it would be when I’m really going to say something too absolute, right?” the brown-handed man laughed.
"You never intended to be too absolute from the beginning?" Grayhand asked.
The brown-handed man replied, “Yes. Actually, I didn’t say anything too absolute. I just said ‘more or less.’ From before I said it, through the process of saying it, to after I said it, I’ve always been quite at ease.”
The gray-handed man laughed and said, "When I asked you, 'Are you worried that you're being too absolute?' it was as if I were making wild guesses about you."
The brown-handed man laughed and said, "It's not that serious. What nonsense are you talking about?"
The gray-handed man laughed and said, "It's as if you're guessing that you want to say something absolute, but you're afraid to say it, so you just said 'more or less.' But in reality, you never intended to say anything absolute from the beginning. You wanted to say 'more or less' from the beginning, so it sounds like I'm just making wild guesses."
