Chapter 2710 - 2719: Never Say That in Front of the Lord
Almost noon the next day, Enna Clark finally crawled out of bed, feeling sore all over.
No one was beside her anymore, just the sheets tangled in an ambiguous mess, reminding her of last night’s frenzy.
She had no idea what had gotten into him; yesterday he was so relentless, like a beast freed from a cage, eager to devour her entirely. No matter how much she pleaded and sweet-talked, it didn’t work, until she passed out.
Enna struggled to sit up on the bed, unsurprised to find herself fresh and clean. He must have carried her for a bath after she fainted last night, then brought her back to bed.
Thankfully, he always bathe her every time, or else Enna couldn’t imagine waking up the next morning feeling sore all over while still sticky.
She finally managed to get out of bed and washed up, even put on a facial mask before heading out.
The mask she used was top-tier, bought by Baron Lawrence from abroad. It was expensive but very effective, so after applying it, her complexion looked much better, completely hiding the lack of sleep from last night. With smooth, elastic, radiant skin, still dressed in loungewear, she looked even more like a college student in her early twenties.
"Morning, Mr. Harris."
"Good morning, Young Madam."
Ever since the incident in Mauritius, Baron Lawrence pretty much kept Scott Harris by her side to protect her, rarely taking him out. Again this time, he didn’t take Scott but left him at home.
"Your breakfast is ready on the dining table, please have some breakfast first."
"Hmm."
Enna was super full last night, she worried it might keep her awake. But she never expected someone to become a beast suddenly, dragging her for a workout throughout most of the night, thoroughly digesting what she had eaten.
She slept until noon, and now she was really hungry.
"Fish porridge?" Enna pulled out a chair to sit down, delighted to find fish porridge for breakfast—her favorite.
Scott smiled as he handed her a spoon, gently explaining, "It’s made by Ms. Harrison. She learned it specifically because Young Master mentioned you like fish porridge. I’ve already tried it, and it tastes very good, pretty similar to the porridge you usually buy."
Enna was surprised to find the porridge made by Joanne Harrison, and upon tasting it, it was indeed delicious. She looked at the meticulous Scott Harris with a teasing smile, saying, "I remember Mr. Harris seems to not like fish much..."
Joanne made fish porridge, and Scott actually ate it.
Could it be that they...
Scott’s expression stiffened, avoiding her teasing gaze, he explained, "I tried it because it’s meant for the Young Madam."
"Hmm, I know." She clearly wore a ’little pink discovery’ expression, still smiling and added, "Actually, Joanne is a good person, has a great personality, and is quite likable. After spending some time with her, I couldn’t help but start liking her."
Upon hearing her say this, Scott’s brow twitched, quickly reminding her, "Young Madam, although I understand what you mean by ’liking’. But Lord won’t. You better not tell Lord you like Ms. Harrison, or I’m afraid Lord will..." send her directly to Country T to mine!
