Ariel Morris wore a blissful smile, dimples sinking at the corners of her mouth, her whole person elegant, poised, and generous."Thank you, Daisy, and thank you too, my little sister-in-law." Ariel held onto Daisy Grant and Nicole’s hands.
The three of them exchanged a smile, all in a wonderful mood.
At the doorway, Jorge Saxton leaned against the door frame, watching his little sister looking so happy and beautiful; the corners of his eyes stung a little.
Ariel was in the middle of talking to Daisy and Nicole when, out of the corner of her eye, she caught sight of the doorway. She paused for a moment, lifted her wedding dress and walked over.
"Brother." Ariel gave a light smile.
Jorge put away the sorrow in his eyes, gently ruffled Ariel’s hair with a soft smile. "After you marry into the Seys Family, be a good wife, and a good mother. And remember to be happy. If anything happens, tell your brother—don’t carry it all by yourself."
"Okay." Ariel smiled at Jorge. As she smiled, a mist of tears rose in her eyes. "Brother, I’m really grateful that in this life I got to be reunited with you, and I’m really lucky to have met the love of my life, Arlo." Her voice choked a little as she opened her arms. "Brother, I’m getting married today, to the person I love most, to the first love of my youth! Are you happy?!"
"I’m happy." Jorge pulled Ariel into his arms, his voice a bit hoarse. "As long as you’re happy, your brother is happier than anything."
"Brother, you will always be my closest family, always." Ariel hugged Jorge tightly, tears swirling in her eyes.
"And you will always be the Princess your brother holds in the palm of his hand." Jorge smiled, patting Ariel’s back as he said softly, "Alright, on such a good day you need to be happy, not cry. My Princess, from now on you’ll be Arlo Seys’s wife, you’ll forever bear his last name. This has been your wish from your youth until now, and today it’s come true. I give you my blessing. I wish you a lifetime of happiness, and that you become the most enviable woman in all of City C."
Jorge let go of Ariel and, seeing tears sliding down her cheeks, immediately reached out to wipe them away. Smiling gently, he said, "Today your brother will walk you down the aisle. From then on, I’ll hand you over to Arlo Seys, let him hold your hand and walk with you for the rest of your life."
"Okay." Ariel held back her tears and nodded to Jorge in agreement.
Camden walked up. "Young Master Saxton, Young Master Seys and the others have reached the door."
Jorge smiled at today’s bridesmaids, Daisy Grant and Nicole. "Bridesmaids, it’s your cue. Don’t let them take my sister away that easily. Only what’s hard-won will be cherished."
Nicole gave a light cough. "Young Master Saxton, my last name is Seys....."
Wasn’t this helping Young Master Saxton set up her own brother?
Jorge gave Nicole a meaningful look and said with a faint smile, "You’re going to marry out anyway. You’ll bear your husband’s surname in the future."

Ariel lifted the hem of her wedding dress, looking at her big brother with some hesitation. "Brother, don’t make things too hard for Arlo. What if he turns around and refuses to marry me?"
"Have some backbone!" Jorge tapped a finger against Ariel’s forehead, looking utterly exasperated. "My sister Jorge Saxton has no takers? The number of men in this world who want to marry you could encircle City C, believe it or not!"
Ariel: ".....But I only love my God Seys."
Jorge: "...This is probably the only ’ambition’ you’ll ever have in this life!"
At Jorge’s signal, Nicole and Daisy headed down to the stairway to block the groom and his groomsmen.
Arlo Seys, Dawn Sutherland, and Nico Haynes had just formed the welcoming party and were about to go upstairs to fetch the bride when they were blocked at the staircase by Nicole and Daisy.
