She stood at the window, lost in thought for a long time, and Asher Land didn’t disturb her.Outside the door, Sophie Smith looked at the maids and nurses standing outside Irene Morton’s room, feeling somewhat puzzled.
"Why are you all outside? Didn’t I ask you to take good care of Irene inside?"
"No, Miss Smith, it was the young master who asked us to come out, he’s... inside."

Sophie hesitated at the door, cautiously pushing it open. She saw Irene standing at the window, her figure forlorn, and Asher standing behind her, upright and silent, with no conversation between them, just standing quietly like that.

"I need to ask the doctor, otherwise, I won’t easily take you out." This time, Asher didn’t outright refuse her; he just had no idea what Irene wanted to do by going out.
"What do you want to do outside?" He had questions in his mind, so he ended up asking.
"I... just want to be alone with you, want you to accompany me. I haven’t been out for a long time, feel like I’m suffocating."
Asher hesitated for a while, not answering her for a long time.
"Brother Asher..." Irene suddenly approached him, reaching out to embrace his waist.
