Chapter 176: Debra... Found!?
Chapter 176: Debra... Found!?
Bella froze in place and Rachel could only watch as Josephine approached her, there was nothing that she could do.
She knew that they might have fucked up and already began to think of the lies that she might have to be forced to feed Mariam.
If Mariam could be convinced then there should be little cause for concern.
She watched Josephine reach Bella but Rachel had to remain calm in this situation.
She hoped that Bella knew about this as well but seeing who she was, Rachel was hopeful.
"What is it?" Bella asked her in the calmest tone she could muster.
Josephine walked towards Bella with Bella hoping that she wasn’t about to do something she would regret.
"I forgot to give you this, you need to keep your wounds covered. You need to get home as soon as possible to get some rest," Josephine said, handing her bandages.
Bella raised a brow but she was going to play along with whatever this was.
"They would have searched you," Josephine whispered in her ear before taking her by the arm and guiding her away from the guards.
The fact that there was a worker with her gave her visit credibility and she did so until Bella was out of the security’s range.
"Why did you help me?" Bella questioned Josephine.
"I don’t know but don’t make me regret it, I don’t know what you are all up to but I know you’re trying to find who was responsible," Josephine said.
Bella was surprised that she had caught on and was glad that Josephine believed in their cause.
Bella didn’t say another word and watched Josephine walk away, little did Josephine know that Rachel had thrown her under the bus.

Bella was done and was on her way to meet the man named Israel, she had what he required and now she needed to find him.
"Where have you been?" Allison called out upon seeing Bella.
This startled Bella as she didn’t even perceive Allison’s presence, she was too caught up in her own mind to process this.
"Damn girl, you startled me," Bella blurted out with a sigh of relief.
"Are you okay? You do look like you just saw a ghost," Allison responded.
With the weight of the added responsibility, she needed Bella more now than ever.
Bella was the only person she trusted among these people and she knew that things were about to get ugly.
"I will explain everything to you once I’m done," Bella reassured her and Allison didn’t press further the moment she heard this.
"Don’t do anything stupid," Allison warned her, it almost sounded like she was worried about her.
Bella didn’t have time for a small conversation and saw Israel from the corner of her eyes.
The two locked eyes and he tilted his head slightly to the left before walking in that direction.
"I will see you later Allison..." Bella responded; she was too distracted to hear Allison’s last sentence.
Bella made sure she wasn’t being followed, she had learned her lesson with the incident at the hospital.
She knew that she just needed to hand him these drugs in her pocket and she should get all the information that he had.
She knew he might very well not know anything and all this might be an elaborate scam.
However, if that was the case, she was more than willing to beat him to a pulp.
They went to the same corner as earlier and Israel took the same position as last time.
"Do you have my shit?" Israel asked to which Bella nodded to confirm it was in her possession.
"Where is it?" Israel asked but Bella wasn’t about to hand it over.
"You tell me what I need to know first," Bella said.
"Why would I tell you when I don’t even know if you have it? Show me," Israel pressed on.
Bella looked to her left and wrote before taking it halfway out to show Israel before tucking it back in.
"Oh shit! You got it?" Israel was surprised that she went through with it but this just showed how much she wanted it.
Bella was a bit confused by his reaction and this made her skeptical that he even knew what it was that she wanted.
"Tell me what you know, Israel or I take this drug right back..." Bella threatened.
Israel sighed and began to walk away, gesturing for her to follow him.
Bella wasn’t comfortable with this because he was taking her into a more secluded area.
"Hm..." Bella thought, she observed and scanned the area as she followed behind him.
She knew she had the combat experience to take him on in a fight should it come down to it.
They kept walking until she found herself behind an abandoned building, the area didn’t look ideal for this type of exchange and it even looked like he was doing too much.
Bella’s guard was up and Israel turned to her but the aura around him was different.
"I didn’t want to have to do this but I’m afraid that you’re putting your nose into something that doesn’t concern you," Israel blurted out and the moment he said this, three people appeared behind Bella, boxing her in should she try to run.
"If you hand over the pills, we won’t tell anyone that you have stolen meds," Israel threatened her and Bella just sighed.
This was a trap, Israel used her to get the drugs and there was no way to tie it back to him considering he never went to the hospital.
They had a list of those that came into the hospital and left so even if Bella said it was him, no one would believe her.
Bella knew she couldn’t escape this, the easiest course of action would have been to hand them the drugs and be on her way.
"You know what...?" Bella said as she took off her jacket to reveal her chiselled and toned muscles.
Israel wasn’t scared of some muscle mass, they outnumbered her so there was no cause for concern.
"We don’t want to do this lady, just hand us the drugs and we will be on our way," Israel said but Bella wasn’t listening.
The first man charged at her and Bella landed her clenched fist right into his face, knocking him out with a single blow.
Israel was speechless, he couldn’t have guessed that she would be this strong.
"So... Who is next?" Bella asked, she looked bored and knew that things would be tiresome.
The remaining two men looked at themselves, they were hesitant to attack her but they decided to give it a go and Bella made quick work of them too.
"Is that it?" Bella asked Israel, cracking her fist and Israel knew he was in trouble.
He tried to scream but Bella wrapped her hand around his mouth, the force in which she did felt like she was about to crush his jaw.
"You will tell me everything I need to know," Bella said and Israel nodded to show his willingness to comply.
He underestimated her and couldn’t believe that she had just won a 3v1 in less than five minutes but he now understood that this lady before him was the real deal.
-
Franklin and Brayden charged forward, there was some hope that Debra would be found.
There was no way that could be Jason or Clementine due to the distance, even if they were running at full speed, they couldn’t be in this location.
There was only one possible explanation and that was Debra, it had to be Debra.
"Hey man, slow down!" Brayden shouted at the top of his lungs but nothing was stopping Franklin.
He was surprised that Franklin still had this much energy in him but that was understandable.
He just found out the person he was looking for might be alive and worse, in danger.
Brayden knew he had to keep up because Franklin would most definitely need his help if everything Kenny said was true.
They saw footprints on the floor and this was a positive sign that they were headed in the right direction.
They were getting closer and closer until they could eventually see a huge figure in the distance but couldn’t make it out.
"DEBRA!!!" Franklin screamed at the top of his lungs.
"FRANKLIN!" A voice called back and this was no doubt the voice of Bella.
Franklin was glad, he could feel the beating in his chest intensify because there was hope.
He somehow began to run even faster and this was where he lost Brayden who was reaching his limit.
"I’M COMING DEBRA!" Franklin screamed, trying his best to reassure her.
"YOU NEED TO R-!" Debra stopped short of completing her sentence and the moment Franklin could finally see what was going on clearly.
The sight horrified him, the top of Debra’s head was missing alongside her brain.
The zombie had taken it all in one bite as he tossed her lifeless body to the ground.
Franklin’s body began to tremble, the hatred and anger in his eyes coming to life.
"Debra...?" Franklin muttered, dropping his gun to the floor as he began to walk in the direction that Debra’s body was tossed.
"Franklin! Snap out of it!" Brayden screamed but his words weren’t effective.
The zombie registered Franklin’s presence and Franklin had dropped the only means to defend himself. Franklin right now was a sitting duck and the evolved zombie had every intention of feeding as it reached for Franklin.
