Chapter 2562: Sea God’s Seal
Chapter 2562: Sea God’s Seal
The Sea God Sect, the Sect Hierarch is supreme.
Below the Sect Hierarch are two Vice Sect Hierarchs and the Saint Heir.
The Vice Sect Hierarch serves as the Sect Hierarch’s assistant.
The Saint Heir is chosen by the Sect Hierarch as the successor, the next Sect Hierarch.
Even if one is a Vice Sect Hierarch, there is absolutely no chance to succeed the Sect Hierarch position; therefore, even though the Vice Sect Hierarch position is higher, the real power is less than that of the Saint Heir.
The current Sect Hierarch, Malvern Howell, confirmed Lorvian Randall as the Saint Heir, but he doesn’t favor Lorvian Randall personally because Lorvian Randall is loyal to the Sea God Sect, not to the Sect Hierarch.
If possible, he would certainly support someone loyal to him to become the Saint Heir, but unfortunately, no one else measures up; Lorvian Randall excels, gaining the support of the Elder Council President, leaving Malvern Howell with no choice but to begrudgingly accept for the time being.
For this reason, during sect struggles, when the Sect Hierarch is not present, the Sea God Sect’s team should be led by the Saint Heir. However, Malvern Howell claims the Saint Heir is too young to bear such a great responsibility, and appoints Crispin Valentine in charge, reducing Lorvian Randall’s power.
After the Sea God Sect’s defeat, Malvern Howell knows the responsibility doesn’t rest on the shoulders of Saint Lorvian Randall, yet he still uses this as a pretext to exile Lorvian Randall to Suffering Pray Sea for a hundred years, simultaneously establishing Draven Aarav as the Acting Saint Child.
Now, Halvyr Briggs has regained control and given Lorvian Randall ample authority.
Second to none, superior to all.
Though two new Vice Sect Hierarchs have been confirmed, their power remains limited.
After reclaiming the position of Sect Hierarch, Halvyr Briggs seldom appears, leading many to speculate that he suffered severe injuries during the battle and is now recovering.
Saint Young Master Lorvian Randall, authorized by Halvyr Briggs, has undertaken major reforms in the entire Sea God Sect, resulting in purges of countless factions and followers.
The purging continues to this day, creating an atmosphere of tension and insecurity within the entire Sea God Sect.
Carson Flores couldn’t help but sigh, "He’s executing the power of a Sect Hierarch in the capacity of a Saint Heir, he can finally do what he wants to do..."
Cassiane Sinclair laughed, "Indeed, he’s finally gotten what he wished for."
Carson Flores considered for a moment, "Since it’s not far, let’s pay a visit and offer our congratulations before we part ways, and maybe interview him, see how he feels now, is he satisfied?"
Cassiane was amused by Carson Flores’ words, her smile as radiant as a flower: "Compared to the previous gloom and despondency, now he’s taking bold steps and doing what he wants to do, he must be very satisfied."
The two set off together toward the Sea God Sect headquarters.
Five days later, Carson Flores and Cassiane met Lorvian Randall, whom they hadn’t seen for over a year.
Lorvian Randall, upon seeing them, displayed a happy smile.
"I was just planning to send you a letter to invite you to visit once things settled down, but you came on your own..."
Carson Flores shrugged and teased, "After we separated from you, we found a place nearby to cultivate. Until today, upon asking around, we learned that you’ve successfully reclaimed the position, so we thought we’d visit since it wasn’t far."
"How does it feel to perform the duties of a Sect Hierarch as the Saint Heir and reform the entire Sea God Sect?"
"Exhausting!"
Lorvian Randall smiled wryly, "The Sea God Sect is like a giant covered in tumors, and removing all the tumors is no easy task."
"I’ve been so busy this year that my feet hardly touch the ground, and only now have I seen some slight progress. How long it will take to enact thorough change, I have no idea."
Carson Flores comforted, "As long as you’re on the right path, no matter how far the endpoint, each step brings you closer. As long as you keep moving, you’ll surely arrive."
Lorvian Randall laughed heartily, "Who would have thought that I’d receive encouragement from you, a Disciple of the Dragon Mountain Sect..."
Carson Flores grinned, "We’re rivals but not enemies, no need to worry."
After the joke, Carson Flores turned serious, "How are things going? Is everything under control?"
Lorvian Randall’s smile faded, his brows furrowed, forming a serious expression: "On the surface, it’s fine, but according to all my information, he still controls many people in the shadows, watching us, ready to strike back at any moment..."
Carson Flores furrowed his brow, "You mean Malvern..."
"Don’t say it!"
Lorvian Randall interrupted Carson Flores, his gaze serious, warning firmly, "It cannot be spoken."
Carson Flores looked at Lorvian Randall in astonishment, puzzled, "Wasn’t he defeated?"
Lorvian Randall gave a wry smile, "He was defeated, but he isn’t dead, he escaped, and the Sea God’s Seal is still in his hands."
Seeing Carson Flores still confused, Lorvian Randall explained, "The true leader of the Sea God Sect is actually the Sea God. It’s just that the Sea God concurrently serves as Sect Hierarch, so the Sea God is the Sect Hierarch, and the Sect Hierarch is the Sea God."
Upon hearing this, Carson Flores understood, "The one who possesses the Sea God’s Seal is the Sea God, and the one who governs the Sea God Sect is the Sect Hierarch. Elder Briggs has now reclaimed the position of Sect Hierarch, but the Sea God’s Seal is still in his hands, so he remains the Sea God... Is that what you mean?"
