"Forget the fact hat you did this to me just when I thought I could completely trust you. My best friend?" Ximena snarled at him.
He stood, ignoring the eyes darting over to them all over the restaurant. "Ximena," he whispered, reaching out for her.
"Don’t touch me!"
He ran a hand through his hair. He knew what this looked like. He had lied about where he was going, and she had caught him in his lie. Clearly, she didn’t even believe him to begin with. His being here only proved her right about whatever she had assumed she was going to find. It was worse that it happened to be Zaria, whom he had a bit of a past with. He had sought her because she was the one who knew Ximena the most but maybe he should have asked Theodore instead.
Zaria chimed in. "Why don’t you both sit down so we can talk?"
Knowing what Ximena was about to say—probably something that would ruin her friendship with one of the only people who cared about her—he dropped down on one knee.
"Excuse me?" Ximena glared down at him.
"This is certainly going to go down in history as the shittiest proposal ever. I was planning something, I swear. That’s why I came to find Zaria."
Her hands flew to her mouth. "Oh my God. And I ruined it. I..." she swallowed. "I couldn’t stand the thought of you with someone else. It made me so jealous and furious and..."
"I know, my love." He interrupted. "That’s why I want to promise myself to you, if you’ll have me. You’re the most beautiful woman I know, and the smartest. And although these sound like they should be the best parts of you, they are just the bonuses. I didn’t know what I was missing until I found you. I didn’t know how deep I was in the shithole that my life had turned into. Shit, I wasn’t going to curse while proposing." He cleared his throat. "You are not just at the end of the tunnel, Ximena. You are the sun and I’m the luckiest man alive to be yours. So, will you make me the happiest man on earth and marry me?"
She rolled her eyes, but that couldn’t hide the smile on her lips. "You made me worry my ass off because you were planning this? I should make you take the living room couch for the next two weeks."
Zaria cleared her throat. "Uh, Ximena, he’s still on one knee."
"Right." Ximena looked down at her man and took his hand. "If I must."
Liam swooped her off her feet and twirled her around, ignoring her odd way of saying yes. When he set her down, he kissed her lips, relief finally settling in his heart.
Zaria couldn’t stop herself from snapping a few pictures of them.
"So," she said to Liam. "Do we still need to plan that proposal?"
"Of course we do. I’m going to propose to my woman properly." He gazed at her while he spoke, making her heart melt.

Liam indeed ended up planning what was supposed to be the actual proposal. Ximena had not seen the details of their plan but they changed a few things regardless.
Two weeks after she caught him and Zaria having lunch and planning their proposal, he asked her out on a date and took her out for ice skating.
She looked around and a smile crossed her face. "I can’t forget the first time we came here."
That day, he had cleared out the rink so it was just the two of them skating, just like today. But there was a young woman clinging onto him and driving her crazy by the second. It was a surprise she didn’t end up beating the crap out of the woman and ending up being whisked away in a police car.
Today, she was certain she wouldn’t run into any fans of Liam, as he had made sure no one would come over for the next several hours.
When the sun had completely set and the daylight begun to fade, the lights didn’t flicker on like she thought they would. Instead, what looked like a thousand little lights outlining the rink turned on, illuminating the rink with their golden glow.
She had not noticed them before, they were so tiny. But they looked like stars around the rink. She marveled as her eyes took it all in and when her gaze returned to Liam, he was once again on one knee, holding up an open velvet box with a teardrop diamond peeking through.
"Yes." She threw herself into his arms, nearly sending both of them sliding away.
He chuckled. "I didn’t even ask the question yet."
"Yes. To anything you ask of me. I’m ready to spend the rest of my life with you, Liam."
She had already said yes before and he knew there was no chance she would reject him now, but it still felt surreal to take out the ring and slide it onto her finger.
Ximena Morel, was now his fiancée.
"I’ve never fucked an engaged woman before." He nibbled on her ear.
"Yeah? That could be arranged." She winked, then she got up on her feet, skating off to the edge of the ice where she had left her bag.
He wasn’t sure what she was going on about until she took out a portable speaker and connected it to her phone. No wonder she left her bag there for easy access.
She swiped through her phone a few times and a French song started belting out of the speakers.
Ximena skated to the center of the rink and started dancing, her body moving fluidly like she didn’t have a single bone with her. It was intense and in time with the rhythm of the song, and goodness, was it possible to gyrate one’s hips like that while on skates? She would give both a professional ice dancer and a strip dancer a run for their money, and that was before she started stripping.
He swallowed a lump when she gracefully took off her top, flinging it as far from her radius as possible. She skated over to him and placed his hands on her hips. He ran his hands down her sides as she straddled him. He was sitting on the ground where he’d been enjoying the view and now he was enjoying much more than that.
He kissed her lips roughly, his tongue plunging into her mouth as soon as she gasped for breath. She was just as impatient as him, fumbling with his clothes and grinding her core against him.
He flipped them over and pinned her underneath him. They couldn’t get each other’s clothes off fast enough, their hands hungrily exploring each other’s skin.
A chill ran down Ximena’s spine and she wasn’t sure it had anything to do with the cold.
When Liam finally pushed himself into her, she moaned between their joined lips, her body trembling in ecstasy.
"I love you, Ximena." He growled.
She dug her nails into his back as he pounded into her, saying between moans, "I love you too."

Instead of writing a post-completion side story, I decided to write each side story as a Chapter with the characters’ names as the Chapter title. This way, you can simply unlock the story you want and decide whether or not you want to read the others. Some stories will be longer than others hence different costs.
